Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I store my RV in Rexburg, Idaho?

Elite Storage is at 1044 N 2nd E in Rexburg, just off Highway 20 in Madison County, close to Walmart and several gas stations. We offer enclosed, covered, and open RV, motorhome, trailer, and boat storage. Call (208) 656-5855 or rent online.

Do you have covered RV storage?

Yes. Our Covered RV Storage (12 x 40) has three sides and a protected ceiling, so birds can't nest or leave droppings on your RV, trailer, or boat. It fits vehicles up to 40' long, 14' tall, and 11' wide, and starts at $132.92 per month with a 12-month prepay ($145.00 per month otherwise). For more room, the Xtra Wide Covered RV Storage (17 x 40) fits up to 40' long and 16' wide and starts at $183.33 per month.

Can I store a Class A motorhome indoors?

Yes. Our Xtra Tall Enclosed units (14 x 30) have a 12' wide by 14' high overhead door and 15' of interior height. They fit vehicles up to 29' long, 13.5' tall, and 10.5' wide. For longer rigs we have drive-through units up to 60 feet long (12 x 60 and 14 x 60), with an overhead door on each end so you can drive in one side and out the other.

Do you offer boat storage in Rexburg?

Yes. You can store a boat in an enclosed unit, a covered space, or an open parking space. Enclosed units protect it from weather, and units with power let you keep a battery on a trickle charger.

Do any units have power for a trickle charger?

Yes. We have a selection of enclosed Large (12 x 30, from $169.58 per month) and Xtra Tall (14 x 30) units available with 10 amp power, which suits a trickle charger or other small items so your battery doesn't die in storage. Drive-through units can add 10 amp power for $15 per month in select units.

Is the facility open 24/7?

Yes. You have gate access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using your own gate access code. You can also open the gate by text message.

How secure is Elite Storage?

The facility is 100% fenced, with access-controlled gates for both entry and exit. High-definition cameras at the entrance and exit capture every visitor and license plate. LED dusk-to-dawn lighting covers the property, and our enclosed units have night lighting inside.

How much does RV and boat storage cost?

Prices start at $132.92 per month for a Covered RV space (12 x 40, with 12-month prepay) and $155.83 per month for a Large Enclosed unit (12 x 30). An Xtra Tall Enclosed unit (14 x 30) is $192.50 per month with a 12-month prepay or $210.00 per month otherwise, and a Drive Through Large unit (12 x 60) starts at $302.50 per month. We charge no deposit and no admin fees. Current rates are on our available units page.

Are there deposit or admin fees?

No. Elite Storage charges no deposit and no admin fees.

Can I rent a unit online?

Yes. You can rent contactless online in less than 10 minutes. When you select Rent Now you complete all the steps to move in, and we email your gate access code when the rental is finalized. You can also pay your bill and set up autopay online.

Do you have an RV dump station?

Yes. We have a free RV dump station, plus a water station and a compressed air station for tires, available with our rentals. The dump station is open seasonally, typically April 1 through November 15, and is for tenants and their stored vehicles only. Our amenities page shows whether it is currently open.

Is Elite Storage convenient for trips to Yellowstone, Island Park, and the St. Anthony Sand Dunes?

Yes. We are centrally located for the St. Anthony Sand Dunes, Island Park, Palisades Reservoir, and Yellowstone National Park. We are also a good stop for trips to Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Many customers store their RV, boat, or trailer with us between trips so they don't have to take it home.

Are the aisles wide enough to back in a large trailer?

Yes. Our aisles are extra wide, 50 to 60 feet, so you can back in and turn a trailer or RV without struggling in a tight space.

Can I store a car, household goods, or business records?

Yes. Our enclosed units work well for cars, household goods, and commercial record and document storage. Covered and open parking spaces are for motor vehicles, boats, and trailers only.

Are your rentals month to month?

Yes. Your first term runs through the end of the month you move in, and after that your rental renews month to month.

How much notice do I need to give before moving out?

We ask for written notice at least 5 days before the end of the month you plan to move out.

Do you refund rent if I move out early?

No. Rent is not prorated, so if you stay for any part of a month, you pay for the full month.

When is rent due, and is there a late fee?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month and is late after the 5th. The late fee is $25, and a returned payment carries a $30 fee. If rent is more than 5 days past due, we may pause your gate access until the balance is paid.

Can my rent go up?

Not during your first term. On renewal we occasionally adjust to the current market rate, and we always give at least 15 days' written notice before a change takes effect. If you don't agree with the new rate, you can end your rental with the usual written notice.

What can't I store in my unit?

Storage is for motor vehicles, boats, trailers, and personal property you own. You may not live in a unit or store flammable, hazardous, toxic, or illegal items, explosives, ammunition, guns, food of any kind, or anything living. High-value personal items like jewelry, collectibles, heirlooms, and art are also not allowed. Only one vehicle or boat is allowed per space unless we agree otherwise in writing.

What are the main facility rules?

Drive 5 mph inside the facility, use your access code every time you enter and exit, and go through the gate one vehicle at a time. Keep your enclosed unit locked with a single lock. No open flames, no sanding or spray painting, and do not attach anything to the walls, ceiling, doors, or floor. There is no dumpster on site, so plan to take your trash with you. Click here for a more comprehensive list of rules and regulations.

Do I need insurance for my stored vehicle?

Your stored property is not insured unless you insure it. Most homeowner and commercial policies don't cover off-site storage, so we recommend Tenant Protection for enclosed units, offered through a third-party provider. Plans run from $2,000 of coverage at $12 per month up to $15,000 at $42 per month, and you can add it when you rent or later through your online account. Use a disc or cylinder lock to avoid the plan's $200 deductible. Visit our Tenant Protection page for details.
